My trip to Argentina by Mariana Muñoz

I went to Argentina with my boyfriend last summer. The trip started at the airport. We had different flights. My flight was with a stopover in Bogota and then in Lima, and his flight was with a stopover in Quito and then in Lima, but in the Lima- Buenos Aires flight we were together. We were going to meet in Lima and we thought about leaving the airport because the stopover was seven hours long. When I arrived at 12:00 am, I was looking for him but I didn’t find him. I was very scared and trying to communicate with him but I couldn’t.  I asked for help from the airline people and they called him by speakers. He was waiting me outside. The airline people said to me that we shouldn’t go out because it was dangerous. He came to the waiting room, and we finally met.  While we were waiting for the flight, we fell asleep.

We arrived to Buenos Aires. My boyfriend’s best friend was living in Buenos Aires while studying a music recording course, and we stayed at his house.

While we were touring to Buenos Aires, we got to see a lot of places like The May Square, the obelisk, Puerto Madero, Boca’s Bombonera stadium, Caminito, the cemeteries, San Telmo, Colon Theater, and stuff like that. We always rode the subway to get to different places. While we were traveling by Subte, we saw a lot murals and graffitis inside the train and along the tunnel. It’s nice to see them.

We went to Mar del Plata city too. When we were traveling in Mar del Plata, we went to a Charly Garcia’s concert in the Malvinas Coliseum, and to a Diego Torres’s concert in the beach. While we saw the Diego Torres concert, the moon was full, and they used fireworks at the end of the show. It was a beautiful and romantic moment.

We went to Uruguay by ferry. We went to Colonia del Sacramento and to Montevideo. When we were visiting Colonia, we ate the best food of our lives, It was a delicious paella in a beautiful restaurant. In Montevideo we were just for a day, we took the touristic bus and while we were riding it, we saw a lot of beautiful places like the Rambla, the Centenario stadium, and the downtown.

We had a 12 days trip, and then returned to Colombia. It was the best trip of our lives.
