MI TRIP TO ARGENTINA

 

In April 2012 I found a cheap flight to Buenos Aires –Argentina, and I decided to buy it. I was going to Buenos Aires to see my best friend and some other friends. She was studying there and living with her boyfriend; I wanted to stay in their home for 15 days, the time off I had from work.

 

I was going to Buenos  Aires in winter, so I needed  some  winter  clothes but  I didn’t have any because  in Colombia there aren’t  seasons.  I needed to go shopping to get new boots, jackets, sneakers, sweaters, gloves, socks, pajamas and some presents for my friends.

 

I traveled to Argentina on July  20th .  My friend Isabel was waiting for me at the airport, and I was very happy to see her and I think she felt the same. After I met her we took a taxi and went to Santiago´s house.  They had a surprise for me which made feel so excited, after a long talk I decided to take a shower because I was really tired.

 

The first day we went to Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. Before we left, Isabel looked  at my jacket  and she said to me that I should borrow Camila’s  jacket, because It was bigger than mine, so I did it and then we went  to this beautiful place in Uruguay by boat .

 

It was such a nice place and Isabel and I decided to rent a motorbike. We drove around Colonia for 2 hours, there were a lot of pretty houses and the city was very clean; we ate next to the river in a big restaurant and the food was delicious, we also had a lot of wine. Overall the day was really fun.

 

The second day we went to Tigre, which is a city close to Buenos Aires.  We walk through a park and then my friends and I jumped from a height of 200 meters. We were kind of scared for sure but we just ended up having a blast. 

 

On the third day I visited Camila´s house, she invited me to have a lunch. When we were eating, Isabel called me and invited us to go out in the evening. I spent all the afternoon with Camila and she showed me her huge dresser, the big curtains she bought, a nice round mirror and her Chinese plates. I liked her cozy apartment.

 

After a few more days I had to leave. I really enjoyed my vacation and I learned a lot about Argentina and Uruguay. I tried different types of wine and all the exquisite food my stomach allowed me to have. Obviously, I was very sad because I had to come back to Medellín, but at the same time I had a huge satisfaction because I could share meaningful time with my real friends.
