On July of
2011, I and a couple friends went to Montañita. It is a beautiful beach in Ecuador.
The first day in Montañita I went with a friend of mine to rent a surfboard. We
didn’t know how to surf but we were excited. We were trying to surf while we understood
that if we wanted to surf we had to go further into the ocean. We were having a
good time when we realized that we were really far away from the coast. We just
freaked out. When we were desperately trying to go back to the coast, I took a
wave lying on the surf table. That wave left me just on the coast. I was so
lucky. But when I looked back, my friend wasn’t there. He was really far away.
Fortunately,
another friend of mine was an excellent swimmer. He swam to catch my friend and
brought him back to the coast. He was a hero.
