On may 24 of 2011 I had a surgery on my right foot, because i had some thing called hallux valgus. 

Someday  my foot was hurting and I decided to visit a orthopedic, the doctor immediately  told me, this foot is very bad, I have  to do a surgery now.

I was cryin but I accepted.

After my surgery  I traveled to Medellin, Armenia and Pereira with crutches, I was dancing with my friends in a disco  regueton, salsa and vallenato music, but my foot started to hurt.

In Armenia I jumped of canopi, I was in the "Parque del Cafe", and I ride in a bull.

I drank milk of cow and I ate meat of lamb.

20 days after, I returned to Cali, to work.

Those  were my best vacations because my foot was bad.

I was about 13 or 14 years old when my family and I were in Santa Fe de Antioquia.

I was with a cousin and we were riding on an ATV, then it was my turn and we went very fast in a straight line, and I was going so fast that I lost the control of the ATV and turned, and my cousin and I flew like 2 meters and bounce in a barbed wire and fell into the mud (nothing serious happened to us). We were totally dirty with mud and we had to ask  somebody to take us around the farm because the bike would not start.At the end a lady who was learning to drive helped us and left us near the farm, her car became very dirty because of us.

When I was in tenth grade school,I was at rest with my friends and rang the doorbell to enter to social class and the teacher always shut the door five minutes after the bell rang and that day when I get the door was closed, then we found very strange as we had many students outside and often the same students closed the door to annoy us and make us think that the teacher we had closed the door. Then two friends carried me to peek above the door to see if the teacher was in the room and when I peered in and saw that the teacher, someone opened the door and I fell in front. All colleagues who were in the classroom and those who were out in the hallway laughed nonstop. It was so funny who drew scenes on the board, they took pictures and rode facebook.

This story I want to tell my child I came up with Simon when he was about two (2) years, usually on Saturdays in the evenings, when I lived with her ​​mother, that is, before our separation, we went to a mall in the city Cali called “Unicentro.” Usually looked at the windows of the stores, watched the movie listings for the weekend and we finally ate an ice cream and then at the end of the afternoon we returned home. An Evening of those Simon's mother, Sandra, was trying on a shirt that had seen in previous days in a warehouse and I was entertained either watching something else in another store next door, when suddenly we heard some people shouting "the child fell to the source ... "and to my surprise to look closely I realize it was my son Simon. Immediately I rushed to the scene to remove it because at that age still could not swim but still loved to play with water, something very common for kids his age.
When we were past the shock and were out of the very wet spring and hoping to get a towel to dry off, both Simon and I, my son comes up tell me some understandable words, "Dad, we can get it again!" What which to the surprise of his mother and mine all I could do was laugh as we hit that people we were helping. Finally we came home with our wet clothes and recalling that story until today when we meet with family or friends we tell again and again burst out laughing.

A BAD EXPERIENCE BY YADILA HERNANDEZ

When I was 5 years old, I started my nursery school. In the first days we carried our favorite pillow. One day the teachers said to us,  were going to take a rest, each student  put the pillow on the school desk. I had a bad habit to sleep. I loved  to suck two fingers. That was a strange custom because the normal form was sucking your thumb. when I was put my fingers in my mouth, one boy pointed  me and all children started to laug.  I started to cry and I felt awful. I Never did it again. I din´t  want  to come back to  school. I hated those children. That was a terrible experience. 

My  teacher felt  guilty and she explained to my mom what had happened to me. My teacher´s name was   Nelly.  She died a long time after that. My mother and she  were friends from that moment until she died, and my family and I appreciated her very much. I don’t forget her.

For  many years my mother tried to rid myself of my habit. Sometimes, she put pepper on my fingers when I went to sleep and then I got up and I cleaned them. She tried everything but anything worked until that day wheh my classmates laughed at me.

I dont forget the fall

last year, I damaged my knee. I was walking with my boss in the mining fair. We wanted to participate in the exhibitions of mining companies.  I wore high heels, and I fell in the hall.  It was embarrassing,  but then I got help from my boss and other participants of the mining show.

I got up and felt a lot of pain, and I said nothing about my pain.  Then we went out to lunch in downtown Medellin.   In the afternoon we returned to the office, and we were working normally, but the pain chased me.

At the end of  the afternoon. I could not walk.  my boss took me to the Hospital. I had a sprained knee, and I didn´t have a crutches. I was really worried because I had a lot of work. I didn´t have patience to stay at home. I didn´t like being in the house. I did not drive for two weeks, I had to pay for a taxi for two weeks. I had to stop wearing high heels.

My family has a crazy tradition of vacation.  All years my father doesn’t speak about the vacation because it’s a good surprise to the rest of the family.

My family members are my mother, my father, my brother and I. We all love the beach, it’s a beautiful landscape, it’s a perfect place to rest and relax.

Every year all the family goes to different beaches, I really think my father wants to know all beaches of the world.

In June 2009 my father gave the family an excellent surprise, gave tickets!!

My brother and I received the news about the trip to panama and we had to keep the secret.

One week afterwards my brother told to my mom about the vacations and ruined the surprise.

On June 6 the family went to panama it was a nice experience.

This country is very beautiful.

When we arrived to the airport we could see a beautiful paradise full of collars.

Them we went to the hotel and ate a delicious lunch in front of the beach.

The trip lasted 10 days, during that time we did a lot of things like eating in a different restaurant every night, scuba diving, riding kayak and shore family time.

The last das we went shopping the mall was very big so I got lost and spent almost 3 hours to find my family after that my mom was really upset so we want back to the hotel and didn’t buy anything beside that the trip was perfect.

Those were my favorite vacations because we has a really good time, got to know another country are experienced a different new things.

MY FIRST DAY AT NEW SCHOOL

I never forgot this day . I was very scarred because i never studied with only girls, this morning I woke up very early then I took a shower and dressed myself. Then my mother got out with me, I was found my room I opening it slowly. Everyone´s eyes were on me as I entered the room. Without paying attention to them, I went to straight to the teacher and asked if this was the right class. With a soft voice He answered, "yes". His voice comforted me a little my classmates and the teacher said me : you can presented with them (i felt died), I said my name, my age,and many things then he asked me to choose where i would like sit, when i got out to break one girl her name is Rosario said me Caro come on eat with us. It was a good time i met my new classmates. It was different than my other school in the break any person played football. It was very quiet class all girls spoke about her weekends and boyfriends. After recess we went back to our classroom I was ready to began class. The first teacher came, He was language teacher. I saw two hours with him, he was a young man and beautifull too. He was a nice and intelligent person this class was very fun and interesting this day. I never forget when he said you need read "the insupportable lightness of being" this book enter in my five favorites 

Vacation in New York

In my last vacations I went to New York with my boyfriend and my brother  on December 2011.
While we were planning our trip, we made some reservations by internet. It was so easy. We bought air tickets, Niagara falls tour, and Citypass tour which includes The Empire State Building, The Statue of Liberty, MOMMA museam and other places of interest.

The first day  we arrived to my aunt´s house. She was explaining us how must we use the subway map, when my mom called to say hello . So I missed all explanation. But in that moment I thought  that everything will be fine, and We got out to enjoyed  New York. We visited the Rockerfeller Center and we saw the biggest Christmas tree that I had ever seen. Then we went to Times Square , it was my favorite place there. I liked so much because I saw people from all nationalities dressed according to their culture, there were people so weird. It was so different than Medellin.

One week later we took the Niagara Falls tour, we were so excited about it. But when we arrive to the meeting point we discovered that tourguide man was a Chinnesse person and his English was so poor.
But we made a deal…once He gave an instruction all of us should  say that we had  understood, and this strategie worked except for the last day.

When we were coming from Boston, the bus stopped in China Town we had to got off of its.We didn´t have this episode planned. We were walking around the same point with some backpack looking for the right subway station to came back to home.I was so scaried, I felt lost there.

They were trying to find the station, I got crazy for a while. I separated from them and I started to ask to people where was the subway station. I didn’t understand anything, the accent was so difficult.In fact I was lost. Besides I didn’t to interpret rightly the subway map because I was talking by phone when my aunt explained it.

 After 15 minutes I saw them and we iniciated the hunt together.

Finally we entered to any station and there we found a person from Dominican Republic who kindly helped us to take the right subway…He was like an angel…

Final project

When I was 18 years old. I traveled to Aruba to meet with my father. I didn’t see him long time ago.

Aruba is an island very small and you can go in a day.

In Aruba there are people from all over the world. It has many beautiful beaches and places. The native language is Papiamento but all the people speak English and dutch.

I stayed there two months, and I visited many places. One day when I was swimming a yellyfish peak me in my leg. It was Horrible because the people told me that I had to pee my leg.

The first week I had a guide and every day I did different things. The weather in Aruba is very hot. It has a lot of nature. This trip was very happy for me, because I could see my father and be with him.

The hardest part of the trip was when I had to say goodbye because it’s very sad and I wouldn’t see again for a long time my father.

I just to say go to Aruba, it’s a wonderful and beautiful place, you can do many things. It is a tourism island and is known for its beautiful beaches and buildings.

My last vacation 

Ending January of this year, I went to Cartagena city with my parents and my sister. However she lives there two years ago. We had fun so much.

We ate in different restaurants. But I really liked one of them, the name of the restaurant is “La cocina de Socorro”. The special dish is lobster, that delicious, the most expensive food that I ever taste. In there place they made a exclusive limonade and the dessert it is yummy. I really recomend this place for so many things. The first thing is: the restaurant has the most gorgeous view in town, everything there it´s so romantic and beautiful 

We were in a Baru Island, when we were at the acuarium I saw dolphins, starfish, sharks, stingray, sea horses and others animals

At night, we enjoyed of a party in the Arsenal Street with my sister`s friends. 

The last days we visited the touristic places like ciudad amurallada, castillo San Felipe, Boquilla beach and Naval Club

We stayed during one week in the Decameron Cartagena Hotel. In the hotel, I swam in the pool, played with my sister, drank differents drinks and slept so much.  An amazing vacations.

ON VACACTION WITH MY FRIENDS

When I finished the University, I went on vacation to Coveñas with my friends. We were very happy because we’re going to have a good time there. We travel by bus, when we arrived at the bus, the best seats was busy, and then we had to sit the last ones. The trip stared and the air conditioning began to function and this had a leak of water right in our seats. The climate inside the bus was cold and we didn’t have a lot of blankets to we put on. We got cold all trip.

When we arrived to Coveñas, they accommodated us in only a room and we were seven! So, the room was ugly, that wasn’t a hotel that was a house. We were very angry when we went to talk with the person that sold us the trip. He was in a comfortable room in a beautiful hotel. We were more angry and we claimed and demanded to him that he accommodated to us in a good rooms.

Later, we moved to a really hotel, in two rooms. At night the light got out and our friend that were in another room, closed their door with key, but they began to felt hot. When they attempted to open the door, the can´t did it. They were very scared, then they called us for help. We went and they threw key key for a little window and we opened the door.

This night, we got out to the beach to drink something and forget all bad things that happened. Eliana drank a lot and later she felt so bad. The next day we went to the beach and we were taking the sun while our friend sleeps. Later we had lunch but Eliana didn´t, she was vomiting all day and she got headache. I told her that she should to take some pills and to drink a lot of water.

The next day Eliana felt better and all of us were enjoying the last day, we ate a delicious food, took the sun and we were on the beach.

It was an unforgettable trip!

My last vacations Luis López

My last vacations.

On my last vacations lived a wonderful and amazing experience. The vacations was the last December and part of January and its always are a family plan, including uncles, aunts, cousin, and another  relatives. In this case were at San Bernardo’s archipelago, a beautiful place of north coast from Colombia. The plan was to stay here for one week, but there was a couple of drawbacks during the trip.

The first one, my uncle’s car broke down while we were traveling to San Bernardo, this problem was an engine damage, for this reason, the trip was delayed. Unafortunately , we continue traveling to arrive at San Bernardo while we were leaving to my family’s uncle. The San Bernardo’s beaches are the most beautiful place to go on vacations, the people, the beach, the tranquility and quiet was a reason to come back as soon as possible. During this week we went to a set of islands belonging to San Bernardo. I can say that the best lunch I have eaten ever, I got in Isla Palma. Also, I had the opportunity to see a group of pink flamingos, dolphins, and exotics fish.  The most curiosity in this story was that my uncle arrived the day after his car problem, and so, together, all the family had a exciting vacations over again.

A few month ago I was on vacation in USA with my family .we were in New York ,which is a very big  and amazing city .we steyed there for a one week ,and at the end for the trip we we had to return to Miami and time of flight was three pm.

 We had to be an one hour in advance and we had the right to take only hand luggage

But we had bought some things .We carried a large suitcase.Becouse the women were delighted buying all things that they saw that everything was very cheap.

We arrive to the airport very late becouse  Jhon f kennedy airport is far away and  the traffic was terrible .When we got to caunter  the employee said us the bag could  not carry becouse  it was very large.

The employee said us someone we has to stay there and take other flight additionally to change the ticket we needed  to pay two hundred dollars.

Who did you guess had to stay alone at the airport by six hours to can bring the suitcase ?
And  I really scared about that in another country where you have so many prohibitions and not knowing the lenguage.
                                
                                                                                

The Jellyfish

A few years ago, while I was in Coveñas, something painful happened. I still don't know what hurt me.

While I was swimming in the sea like I used to do every morning, I felt that something had stung me. In the beginning, I wasn't feeling pain so I started to find out what had stung me. I didn't see anything and while I was looking for something odd in the sea, I started to feel a strong burning in my leg. I almost couldn't move my leg but I was in the middle of the sea, so I had to come back to the beach anyway. I couldn't swim, just to move my arms.
While I was coming back to the beach, the burning became stronger. My family was concerned about me and all of them got out of the sea to help me.

As sonn as I got the beach, I saw blood gushing from two small holes in my leg. While I was resting there, a native person who was walking asked me what had happened. I told him everything and he said me that if I wanted to prevent an infection, I should pee on the hurt. I didn't know what to do, but I decided to heed the advice.

While I was going to the bathroom, I thought how disgusting it was pee on my own leg. I was a little scared so I just did it and the burning became less shtrong.

Finally, another native person told me what had stung me was probably a jellyfish and I hadn't seen nothing because it's kind of transparent. Also, he told me the most important thing was to put something hot on the hurt, like urine or SAND. Unfortunately, I had already peed on my own leg.

A week in Bahia

In January of this year I went to El Valle, Bahia Solano located in the Chocó department. For the trip we packed: toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, insect repellent, a flashlight, a knife, towels, sandals, shorts, t-shirts and snacks.  

When we arrived to the airport, we went straight to the check in area. After we got into the plane they were saying that our flight had to be changed, because the airplane broke down and they had to move us all to another one. The second one did work, so finally, we flew.  

During the flight we could see that the landscape was changing fast, in one moment we were seeing buildings and in a few minutes we were seeing big mountains and forests, after that the Pacific Ocean was in front of us.

We got there and went to a little town called El Valle, this is a place full of kind people and they seem to live of tourism, in some moments of the year is spawning season for turtles, and breeding season for whales.

In Bahia, we went to visit different places like El Salto del Tigre, when we saw eight natural pools inside a mountain we also saw some prints that we thought were from some kind of feline, Cocalito, is a beautiful beach in an island, where we practice snorkel, La Ensenada de Utría, a natural park where we saw animals like stingray, globe-fish, snakes, and a lot of colorful little fishes.        

As I was telling before, it is a beautiful green place where the people are wonderful and very helpful. My advice for everybody is go to this place because is great and the food is delicious.

MY FIRST TRIP TO SAN ANDRÉS

I went for the first time to San Andrés 14 years ago. I did this trip with my family: my dad, my mom, my brother, and my sister. My parents planned to spend the first days in Providencia so we had to take a plane once we got to San Andrés.  Our flight was Medellín>Bogotá>San Andrés>Providencia. 

The day of the trip the flight Medellín>Bogotá was late and the flight Bogotá>San Andrés was late too. I do not remember many things but I remember that my little sister cried the entire flight. She was only like 15 months and kind of sick. 

We arrived to San Andrés very late so we lost our flight to Providencia. We did not have any hotel in San Andrés so my father called a friend and asked him to help us looking for one. When my father’s friend was looking for it we went to claim our suitcases but they were not there. They were in Bogotá! So there were my parents. In the middle of the night, without baggage, without hotel, with a sick baby, and 2 tired little kids. Thanks God my father’s friend found a hotel so we had a place to sleep. In the morning of the second day we went back to the airport. We claimed our baggage and took a plane to Providencia. The rest of our trip was incredible. We had good memories.

My vacations in Morrosquillo's gulf

In my last days of highschool I went with my friends to Morrosquillo's gulf to a natural reserve called San Guare. In that place we made some activities like go diving, a long walk, and a trip on kayak.
The first day we mounted on boat and we went diving. There we saw many fishes, jellyfish and some corals. The next day we made a long walk arround the island and we saw many animals like snakes, butterflies, bugs, monkeys and many birds when we were walking.

The third day we went by kayaks to a bird island. The trip took us 2 hours but when we arrived we saw many kind of birds and also we went diving. There we saw squids and some octopuses. When we were coming back some partners and I got lost. When we came to the swaps the guides were waiting for us then we got through them with the guides and finally we could came to the reserve.

The last day we took a boat to the bus. We left the reserve and we finally returned to our homes.

MY VACATION IN BOGOTA

Last year I was in Bogota from June 17 since June 24. I stayed in Pepito Royal Hotel. Bogota is a very special place form me because I lived there for two years.

In that city I visited many places. I was in Gold Museum. In there are many pieces make it by Indian groups. Then I visited to Andino mall. In that mall I was walking and drinking a coup a coffee while I was looking a display store when I stumbled and I fell down on floor. I burned myself with the coffee because I spilt it all over myself and almost broke my knee…but I could stand up and walk to came back to the hotel. The next day I got a black knee and heavy pain but that was no problem for me I keep walking.

When I travel to Bogota usually call my friends. I always spend very good times with them. In that vacation we went to a Mexican restaurant. We ate delicious spice food and drank a lot tequila. I was drunk when I was came back to the hotel. That night I threw up everything that I ate.

The next day I woke up with a headache, but I could visit the farm of my relatives. There we did a roast. I love visited the farm of my relatives because I could walk around, breathe fresh air and reading a good book next to the fireplace.

When I was in Bogota I went to the bookstore. I visited the bookshop of two universities: Externado and Rosario. I looked for books specializing in economic law that I couldn’t find in Medellin. This is a topic that I really like it.

On Saturday I went to the bargains market located in Usaquen. It was fantastic to be there because I could walk dawn on the street I saw beautiful handicrafts while I was drinking a delicious and strong Colombian coffee. In there I could eat a traditional food and local disserts. When I was there, I bought a panting of Vincent van Gogh called “Starry Night”. Let me tell you that the price was low for a wonderful work.

This vacations was very funny because I could rest, I visit to my friends and my relatives and bought things that I wanted.

MY VACATION IN SAN ANDRES ISLAND.

A few years ago. I went to San Andres with my girlfriend. I checked some travel agencies because I waited to find bargains travel. I really found a very cheap travel but we has flighting at night. I didn´t have a problem and I bought this travel package.

After that I was talking to her and she had a few distrust. But I said her that don´t worry about it. Then we went to shopping so we needed to buy some things by our travel.

The day that we went to San Andres were all right. They picked us up to take the airport but we waited the flight that out at 11:00 p.m., but the flight was delayed 30 minutes. So we arrived the island late. When we arrived we were very tired, and none the travel agency were waiting us to led the hotel. So we took a taxi to  went the hotel but the room clerk said us that there was no reservation in my name. I was angry because I used a bad cheap travel agency. I had to pay  reservaion for this night on the hotel.

So in the next morning I called the travel agency to them resolve me the problem and, they gave me a telephone number the agency´s person  to I called. Then I was talking to a person and this answer by my problem. First he led us the other hotel because last night I was so tired that I wasn´t paying attention and so we went a different hotel. where they had our reservation and so they didn,t refund for my money.  Anyway after all we has a great vacation in San Andres.
